Searching for an AI course in Kuala Lumpur in 2026 gives you hundreds of options, from one-hour ChatGPT webinars to six-month bootcamps. Most of them teach you to use one tool. Very few get you to a working result you can use at work on Monday.
LEAD runs five hands-on AI certifications at the AI365 Hub in Taman Tun Dr Ismail (TTDI), Kuala Lumpur. They are all two days long and all HRDC claimable, but they are built for very different people. This guide compares them side by side so you can pick the right one, including our newest programme, the AI Operating System Certification.
Quick answer: which LEAD AI course should you take?
- New to structured AI use, or want everything connected? Start with the AI Operating System Certification.
- Want AI to run repetitive business tasks for you? Take the AI Agentic Automation Certification.
- Work with spreadsheets, reports or sales numbers? Take the AI for Data Science Certification.
- Want to build your own app, website or internal tool? Take the AI Full-Stack Building Certification.
- Want to build AI systems at a technical level (RAG, APIs, multi-agent apps)? Take the Professional AI Engineering Certification.

1. AI Operating System Certification (new)
Who it’s for: professionals who already use ChatGPT or Claude but feel stuck at “one prompt at a time”. It suits lean teams in marketing, operations, finance, sales and service, managers who want repeatable AI workflows for their team, solopreneurs, freelancers, consultants, and business owners building AI capability in-house.
The problem it solves: most people collect AI tools, not results. A new app every week, a folder of saved prompts, and the same workload at the end of the month. An AI Operating System connects four capabilities, content creation, data analysis, automation and vibe coding, into one working system that runs with minimal supervision.
What you’ll do:
- Day 1: Build, create and publish. AI fundamentals (how LLMs work, choosing between ChatGPT and Claude), vibe coding a working web page or internal tool and publishing it live on Netlify, AI content production with reusable brand and tone references, then image and short-form video generation.
- Day 2: Analyse, automate and integrate. Analysing business data with AI and verifying the findings, turning analysis into charts and simple dashboards, building an n8n automation for a recurring task, then connecting everything into your own AI Operating System blueprint.
Before you join: you need ChatGPT Plus and Claude Pro accounts set up, and be comfortable with browsers, email and spreadsheets.
Why it’s a good starting point: it gives you a working taste of every area the other four certifications go deep on. Many participants will take it first, then pick a specialist course for the area that matters most to their role.
Fee: RM3,200 + 8% SST self-funded, or RM3,500 + 8% SST HRDC claimable. First intake: 24 to 25 October 2026 (Saturday and Sunday).
2. AI Agentic Automation Certification
Who it’s for: founders, C-suite leaders and managers in HR, marketing, finance, operations and customer care who want AI to do tasks, not just answer questions. Built for non-engineers.
What you’ll do: learn n8n from triggers and nodes upward, write structured agent prompts, then build real business automations: an HR chat agent, an expense claim workflow, a financial report analyser, a restaurant order receipt flow and personalised greeting cards. Day 2 closes with how to plan AI costs, models and hosting so your automations survive beyond the classroom.
You’ll leave able to: build visual automation workflows, create more consistent AI agents, turn business inputs into usable outputs, and plan for deployment cost.
Bonuses: US$100 in AI model credits and three months of n8n hosting.
Choose this over AI Operating System if: you already know where your repetitive work sits and want to go deep on automation and AI agents. New to the topic? Read What Is Agentic AI? and our n8n vs Zapier vs Make comparison.
3. AI for Data Science Certification
Who it’s for: business managers, team leaders, analysts, consultants, and marketing, sales, operations, HR and finance professionals who work with data but don’t code.
What you’ll do: frame business problems as data questions, explore datasets by talking to AI, profile and clean data, and learn to challenge AI output instead of trusting it blindly. You then build no-code predictive models in KNIME (classification and regression), read model performance properly, and finish with a group capstone presenting business recommendations.
Before you join: a free Gemini account, a Claude account with Claude Code access, and a laptop where you can install KNIME. All three are free.
Choose this if: your job involves reports, forecasts or decisions based on numbers, and you want to move from “what happened” to “what will happen next”.
4. AI Full-Stack Building Certification
Who it’s for: founders, entrepreneurs, product managers, marketers, designers and operators who have an app or tool idea but no developer.
What you’ll do: use vibe coding to build a working dashboard with a Supabase database on Day 1, along with internal mini tools and mobile-friendly apps. Day 2 moves to production: Next.js and React, building APIs, registering a domain, setting up DNS and SSL, and deploying a live system. You finish with a live presentation of your build.
You’ll leave able to: put together frontend, backend and database, connect live data, and ship a real product on your own domain.
Choose this over AI Operating System if: building software is the main goal. The AI Operating System course covers vibe coding for simple pages and tools; Full-Stack Building takes you to a production app with a database and APIs.
5. Professional AI Engineering Certification
Who it’s for: professionals who want to go beyond using ChatGPT and build AI systems themselves: tech-curious team leads driving digital transformation, entrepreneurs building AI products, and career switchers aiming for job-ready AI skills. No deep coding background required, but this is LEAD’s most technical programme.
What you’ll do: Day 1 covers AI architecture, Python fundamentals, ML and NLP basics, and deploying a model as an API. Day 2 covers LLM selection, prompt engineering, RAG with Pinecone, fine-tuning, cost optimisation, and a multi-agent application using MCP and LangGraph, plus an in-house Q&A system. The final assessment is designing and presenting a production-ready AI application.
Choose this if: you want to understand how AI systems work under the hood and build them for your company or clients.

How to choose an AI course in Kuala Lumpur
Whichever provider you consider, check these five things before you pay:
- Do you build something real? Watching demos doesn’t stick. Look for courses where you leave with a working automation, dashboard or app.
- Is it current? AI tools change every few months. A 2024 syllabus is already out of date. Check that the course names the tools it uses.
- Who are the trainers? Look for people who build and deploy AI for businesses, not just teach it.
- What happens after the course? Most learning happens when you try to apply it at work. Post-course support matters.
- Is it HRDC claimable? If your company pays the HRD Corp levy, there is no reason to pay out of pocket.
