Here is a brief comparison of Data Science Bootcamp vs Data Science 360 (DS360):

What does this mean?

We see the boot-camp as a 30-day guided challenge, where participants learn by working & completing real-world projects.

Data Science 360 on the other hand follows a more lesson-based structure with the goal of preparing students to be ‘industry-ready’ data scientists.

Within DS360 you’ll learn data storytelling and presentation in person – which the boot-camp couldn’t offer.

However, we in fact encourage DS360 students to enrol in the Bootcamp as well – to keep themselves accountable and the experience of completing 4 data projects.

Data Science Bootcamp

The data science boot-camp is for you if you are looking to learn how to manage data science projects proficiently.

You don’t need to have a certain skill set or education in order to succeed in the bootcamp.

What you need is determination, an open-mind and ready to hit the ‘road’, as it’ll be a challenging yet rewarding learning journey.

You’ll receive not more than 10 mins of bite-size video tutorials each day, discuss with the student community, instructor, peers and get things done.

It’s a month-long bootcamp filled to the brim with hands-on learning; this translates to around 60+ hours of learning and work.

Besides, you’ll have ‘face time’ – with 1 live training and 1 coaching session, weekly online.

This Bootcamp expands your boundaries and employability when you pick up 21st-century skill-sets used by actual data professionals at work – and it’s especially design for time-starved individuals.

You learn on the go, and put what you learn immediately to practice – setting you up for incremental progress daily, with a proven learning approaching.

By the end, without you realizing, you’ve completed 4 data science projects and level up with essential data science skills.

What more – you’ll be working with real data problems, the projects you complete can be easily turned into a portfolio for a data science interview.

Here’s a breakdown of the bootcamp:

Days 1 – 6: Data Science Fundamentals

Days 7 – 12: Predict customer churn using decision tree

Days 13 – 18: Forecasting using Regression analysis

Days 19 – 24: Social media and text analysis

Days 25 – 30: Dashboard and portfolio

Day 31: Fully equipped to handle data science projects confidently as a data professional.

This boot-camp is self-paced alongside 4 online live pieces of training which will be held on each Saturday within 30 days.

You will learn how to effectively practice real-world problems and solve them.

Get a certification upon submitting the assignments and completing 4 real-life data science project of your own.

Whether you work in finance, e-commerce, accounting, banking, HR, engineering, manufacturing, operations, or retail – you’ll know exactly how to apply data analytics and predictive analytics.

Data Science 360

The Data Science 360 professional certification is designed to progress your career especially if you are a data analyst, engineer, marketer, or finance professional.

In this program, you will learn data science, big data analytics, machine learning, and become a job-ready data scientist – in 6 weeks.

Designed for hybrid learning – you will receive up to 48+ hours of training, 4 full-day physical training and online modules which you can access immediately after registration.

Meet the instructors in person and bring your data science problems during the physical class. The physical class is limited to only 25 participants to ensure optimum learning.

In a physical setting, means we can do what ‘virtually’ that’s impossible – have face to face conversations, do data storytelling, presentations, and immediate response to your questions.

But what if you’re not able to attend physically (if you’re overseas, on lockdown, from other states, etc.)? Well, we do have a private ‘live-streaming’ facility setup where you attend from anywhere.

Also, with a strong 800+ alumni network regionally from Singapore, Hong Kong, and locally, you get to meet like-minded people at your convenience.

Data Science 360 does have a capstone project at the end, so you’ll have to build a project and portfolio as you graduate from the 4-full day training, and share it professional in our Pro Group.

Get a professional certification upon passing the exercises, data storytelling, building dashboards, challenges and submitting your portfolio –  all during the 4-full day physical class and post-class.

This certification is proudly not a degree or diploma, but it’s recognized regionally by MNCs such as IBM, Dell, Intel, Sunway, EcoWorld, SMEs, and startups.

Here’s a breakdown of the program:

Programming for data science
Learn programming skills that the job market demands.

Data Mining & Cleaning
How to collect, extract, query, clean, and aggregate data for analysis.

Exploratory Data Analysis
How to explore datasets using visual analytics and statistical analysis.

Machine Learning
How to build machine learning models and implement algorithms, artificial intelligence.

Modelling, Validation, and Problem Solving
Apply question, modelling, and validation problem-solving processes to datasets from various industries in order to provide insight into real-world problems and solutions.

Data Visualization and Story Telling
Create eye-catching visualization that helps to tell a story that communicates your findings.

Analysis to Presentation
Communicate findings, results, and creating an effective presentation, even a non-tech layman understands. Then frame business questions from data science.

Big Data Analysis
Identify big data opportunities and articulate how cloud computing technologies are solving these challenges.
